Family law can be complicated, but it doesn’t need to be. With 13 years of experience as a Brisbane family lawyer, we know how to manage complex cases to achieve a fair resolution as quickly and effectively as possible for you.

1

Free consultation

We offer a no-obligation, no-cost initial consultation to discuss the challenges you face, and what we can do to help. Whether you are considering separation and need initial advice, or need to discuss formalising parenting arrangements, splitting assets or divorce, we will discuss the options available to you, and the costs involved. We understand the emotions involved and the fear of the unknown in relationship breakdown and family law disputes and are dedicated to providing clear advice and a prompt resolution for you.

2

Collecting evidence and information

Once we have discussed the best course of action for you, we gather all the evidence and information needed to support your case. We take detailed instructions from you to sort through what is relevant and prioritise areas that need to be resolved first. During this process we rely on you to gather as much information as you can to reduce costs and keep the process as efficient as possible.

3

Make contact

We then make contact with your former partner and any other involved parties to begin the process of resolution. Our goal here is not to stir up further emotion, but rather resolve a problem in the quickest and most economical way possible. We have years of experience dealing with difficult parties and are resolute in defending your interests for the best, most peaceful outcome.

Case resolution

After a period of disclosure from both sides, we aim to be in a position to make a proposal for settlement. We do not see the utility in engaging in lengthy negotiations of claim and counterclaim, so we encourage all parties to move to mediation as quickly as is feasible. Once a deal is agreed by both parties, we formalise this with a legally enforceable agreement or consent orders filed in court.
